How it works
SLU-PP-332 activates estrogen-related receptors (ERRα/β/γ), master regulators of mitochondrial energy metabolism in muscle. Activating them mimics part of the adaptive response muscles make to endurance training.
What the research shows
In mouse studies it increased running endurance, muscle oxidative fibres, and fat metabolism — obese mice lost fat without eating less. There are no human trials of any kind; safety in people is entirely unknown.
Regulatory status
Australia
It has no entry in the Poisons Standard — the nearby SR9009 listing covers REV-ERB agonists, a different receptor family — but with no approval anywhere and no ARTG listing, it cannot lawfully be supplied for human therapeutic use in Australia.
Worldwide
Preclinical worldwide — it has never entered human trials and no regulator has reviewed it. WADA's S0 catch-all prohibits unapproved substances in sport, and anti-doping laboratories published detection methods for it in 2026. Development focus has shifted to an orally bioavailable successor, SLU-PP-915.
